Growin' Our Own (Feature stories)I was A Grass Runner for A Biker CrewBy: Running Free This story is about grass running days for a guy, Bobby, who was a big unpredictable tattooed enforcer for a bad ass biker group. Finally he was convicted for murder and sent to prison. He was a smuggler, pilot, drug dealer, who just a few years later planned and carried out big drug money ripoffs with a crew armed with machine guns. Bobby, always armed and dangerous, looked for trouble and was involved in everything you could imagine. In about 1969 he was arrested at an airport flying in a load of grass from Baja, Mexico in a stolen Cessna. The 800+ pound load was destined to be distributed by the well known biker club and like many other loads he brought in weekly would have been distributed and out of his hands within 24 hours. This airport bust stopped him for a while, but others took his place in this Southern California based smuggling operation and the loads never stopped coming. Click here for the full story. Eunice in WonderlandBy: Bonnie Down Eunice, my mom (oh heavy sigh!). Born in 1923. Born a century too late. Ultra-Victorian. Always wore a mental corset. Wouldn't say shit if she'd had a mouthful. In fact, if we kids said it, she'd invariably say something along the lines of "How can you put in your mouth what I wouldn't hold in my hand!" Repressed beyond belief. Click here for the full story. Sexy Blond Enika of AmsterdamBy: Bill Arriving in Amsterdam after three days and nights in sailor bars in Brussels, we pulled into the train station. Some foxy lady with short ringlets of blond hair and Betty Boop breasts and a long haired guy got on the train before I could get my backpack on. He spoke perfect English, offering to take my trusted friend Rocky and me to a clean, private, and inexpensive Amsterdam hotel. This was music to our ears. All of our hassle exploring for a hotel was deleted, and to have one recommended by a fellow American! This would save us hours of searching for a hotel which we could add into our party time. We happily jumped into his VW microbus with the big breasted blond, Enika, and he drove us to the Hotel Post. Enika was quiet and kept staring at me. An older couple checked us in, for $5.00 each. There are two variables which render the question unanswerable. First is -- what is it? To put it another way, how much what is too much? The second variable is an individual's opinion. Well, I think having just one 'X' is too much. See what I mean? And that is exactly the problem medicinal marijuana patients are facing. Click here for the full story.
