Dictionary for Heads

This is, very much, a work in progress. Enjoy.

A

Acid Freak - somebody who loves to take LSD, also known as acid. You can usually spot them.

Afghani - a finely processed hashish from Afghanistan. Dark slabs or 1/2" thin long bricks of hash from Afghanistan. These may come in many different shapes depending on how smuggled. Good taste, blue-gray smoke, good high. In the late '60s the price for an ounce ranged from $60 to $80 in the San Francisco area. Some early Afghani and Pakistani hash was allegedly bound with motor oil, and the smoke looked the same color as from an oil burning car. If available today, this hash might cost $300 to $500 for an ounce in the U.S.

Amsterdam - smoke city in the Netherlands, where coffee shops [smoke shops] are abundant and display menus of their hashish and weed. You can go there and openly smoke what you want. Also pre-rolled cones (joints) are available.

Angel Dust - PCP (animal tranquilizer) laced parsley, or weed which is smoked. Popularized by the Hell's Angels, who had labs, made and sold this chemical. Hence the name Angel dust, which also implies the high of floating. Not recommended for use. Comes in crystal or on the parsley.

AK - better than mid range quality of weed.

Al - name, means weed in older usage. Al was short for the red Prince Albert can, the standard underground cannabis container for an ounce of weed. Al, Prince, or Red.

Armadillo Express - a smuggling operation from Jalisco, Mexico in the 70s. They were armed and dangerous, running many loads of high quality grass into the U.S. Mexican officials were allegedly paid off along their well used travel route. This name was stamped on the white tissue paper wrapped around big bricks, which were then wrapped in plastic wrap. Bricks usually weighed 3 lbs. and looked bigger than a loaf of bread.

B

B. C. - high quality bud from British Columbia, Canada. Also cocaine from Bogota, Colombia.

Back up - somebody you have who is not seen for a large drug deal. Unseen bodyguards. If the deal goes bad they move in to stop the ripoff or save your ass. Usually will have guns.

Bag - a measurement of cannabis. Usually an ounce, or an eighth of an ounce. Used as nickel or dime bag too, referring to the cost. When the Prince Albert can lost usage weed was hidden in wax paper bags. Later came the plastic Glad bag (ever wonder about the name 'GLAD'?) with a flap, then zip lock bags.

Baggie - the plastic Glad bag for holding stash.

Baked - really high, stoned, loaded on weed.

Bale - a big brick, usually 40 lbs. or more, however any pressed brick over 10 pounds can be called a bale.

Balloon - an uninflated balloon, used by heroin addicts to hold their heroin. Carried in the mouth or even (dangerously) swallowed for smuggling or when busted to hide the stash. Red is the preferred color.

Banana - shape of a joint, also name for a joint.

Blasted - really stoned.

Blazed - really stoned on weed. Smoked a lot of weed.

Blaze one - to fire up a joint.

Blow - cocaine, actually you vacuum the crushed powder up your nose.

Blunt- a marijuana cigarette or rolled in a tobacco leaf as in Blunts. Also joint, stick, reefer, smoke, cone, and many other slang words. A seam cut along a cigar where tobacco is removed and cannabis is placed to smoke.

Bogart - won't give up the joint. Holding it too long while others are waiting to take a hit.

Bong - an illegal term for a wide open mouth water pipe. A tube pipe. Bong is a prohibited word in pipe shops throughout the U.S. Don't use this term in a pipe shop as you will be thrown out.

Boo - name used for cannabis by jazz musicians in the late 30s to 50s.

Bomber - a huge joint. Could be rolled 4 to 10 inches long, and assembled from many papers.

Border - the imaginary or legal international line between 2 different countries. This is the line smugglers cross with their illegal cargo. Also the line where you have reached your high. You made it to the border.

Brick - a pressed kilo (2.2 pounds or 1000 grams) of cannabis or coke in the shape of a brick. Although the U.S. uses standard measurements, the usage caught on. Bricks can weigh much more or less than a kilo. Bricks can be made any size, but if over 10 pounds they are usually referred to as bales. You always "break up" a brick when you pull the pressed cannabis buds apart.

Brownie - a marijuana brownie baked with weed in the mix.

Bud - the concentration of growth on a female cannabis plant for purposes of reproduction. The desired part of a cannabis plant for use in smoking, keif and hash production. Colas.

Bud Bunny - female who likes to smoke bud and jump into bed.

Bud Life - The ezine of the lifestyles of marijuana smokers and smugglers, www.budlife420.com

Bunk - bad weed, like the low THC content of farmed hemp.

Bummer - bad time, bad trip, person or event which brings you down.

Burned - when a drug deal goes bad. Either your money is gone or you bought some bunk. Ripped off in a bad transaction. Robbed.

Burned Out - had too much smoke and ready for bed. Smoking too much over a long time.

Bush - means marijuana either growing or dried. Father and son Presidents of the United States, both promoting the war on drugs. Tired, as in he's bushed.

Bush Oak - an Okie or red neck who likes to smoke weed.

Busted - arrested during a drug deal, or for possession.

Buzz - the buzzing sound you may hear or a body buzz from smoking good weed. "I have a buzz on." "I'm buzzed."

Buzzd - Frog From AboveBuzzd - Frog From Above

By: Elmore Stone

It is music to calm the savage beast. Better still, Buzzd's debut CD "Frog From Above" is like Thai weed. It will cure whatever is ailing you, and the price isn't bad either.

BK along with Antz and Clarke are the heart and soul of the band. All are accomplished musicians. All have passion. You can hear it. You can feel it. And it all comes flowing, gracefully and beautifully, out on "Frog From Above."

Intricacies and harmonies. Passionate highs and lows and good old fashioned rock 'n' roll. Whatever your mood, whatever your vibe, "Frog From Above" has something good to offer.

Buzzd is also very much in favor of decriminalizing marijuana. Quoting BK; "we must embrace what we don't understand not fear it and it's starting to happen. Let's collectively give it a big push. It makes sense." I'll smoke to that.

"Frog From Above" is available from Linus Entertainment. If your favorite music store doesn't have it, pitch a fit and have them get it. Take a listen to "Hoisted Away," a super cool track from the CD "Frog From Above", you will surely want more.

I tried several times to access your site using Netscape 4.7 (Mac 0S 8.6) and each time my browser crashed (spontaneously quit). I tried using IE 5 (Mac) and was able to view your site. I have no idea why it keeps crashing Netscape but I thought you should know that it's happening. I hope you get it fixed since I prefer using Netscape to browse.

[Ed note: Older versions of Netscape and IE do not properly render certain elements of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). We have corrected that problem. Thank you for letting us know!]
