Lawnmower Man - Movie ReviewWhat is Normal? When you watch Lawnmower Man, you see a normally retarded or mentally deficient person, who has a supervised job mowing lawns. He is humble, a hard worker, and wrongfully punished for things he has not done. Although mentally deficient, he's functional and provides a service to society. In other words he's paying his way. He's no freeloader and he minds his own business keeping to himself. Suddenly he is chosen by Pierce Brosnan to be a guinea pig for a virtual reality experiment, to see what effect it will have on our deficient Lawnmower Man. The government too is involved and lo and behold our hero obtains a higher intellect from his encounters with the computer. Suddenly his mind becomes a sponge and takes on all the knowledge computers possess. He sees a different monstrous reality from his prior self. Against his experimenter's will he develops a self driven dependency to go into virtual reality and gain more and more knowledge. He has virtual sex. He overcomes his experimenters in intellectual abilities, theories, and in all other mental abilities. Finally in the end he is able to separate the molecules of his controlling experimenters minds and bodies. He becomes superior to his masters and demonizes them. This science fiction has a meaning. People who are downtrodden by their masters in government, may one day awake. This is what the masters fear, that they someday will be demonized for not servicing the needs of the people. Instead they control the people like slaves with their laws and taxes. They continue to make rules that people cannot possibly know or follow. It's a daily risk for the people created by their experimenters in government. Can this be a reason our government fears legalizing nature's worldwide weed, cannabis? Are they afraid we will develop a different consciousness when we turn on our masters? I don't think so. I think it's safe to assume the laws will eventually change. So I ask you what is normal? Is it to be oblivious to what the master social experimenters in our government are doing to us, or is it time to wake up and tell our masters that the curtain is open and we see the Wizard of Oz? We've had our knowledge all along and we want to be free of this and other man made crimes. I say it's normal to wake up and judge for yourself what injustice our master experimenters have wrought, and that change is normal. Change the laws on cannabis prohibition. As Keith Stroup of NORML and others have said for over 30 years, normalize the marijuana laws. We don't want to demonize anyone. |
