International LivingNewsletter Review by Panama Red International Living is a great monthly newsletter giving in-depth analysis about some of the best places to invest, live and visit in the world. It gives information on money exchanges, foreign contacts, house rental and purchase, quality of life, medical standards, roads, and other infrastructures. For example, in a recent issue PANAMA was listed with the highest rating for a retirement haven out of all countries in the world and has the lowest real estate prices for the value. You'll find that countries like PANAMA have beachfront properties for about $25,000 and cheap maid service. Canada was rated third to retire in and the U.S. rated seventeenth. There is information about tax havens, tax strategy, and life as a PT or Perpetual Traveler. A PT is a man without a country and owes allegiance to no nation. The theory is that if you move about every 30 to 90 days you are without a country. For example, if you go to Cuba on a 30 day visa, you can leave to Cancun or Nassau, Bahamas, or somewhere else and return to Cuba the same day on another 30 day visa. Get it? You left the country of Cuba and came in again the same day on a new visa for another 30 days. Read International Living and you'll learn how the rich and famous get things done. I have subscribed to International Living for 5 years and find it fascinating reading. There are many comments from travelers and classified ads. For example a member wrote about Amsterdam's Odessa bar and restaurant on a boat. There are ads on legal trips to Cuba, where this reviewer has traveled and highly recommends. Bud Life will have an upcoming article on Cuba. Also there is regularly information on the country of Belize, which this reviewer has followed and actually traveled into Belize to check out. I can tell you there is probably more grass grown in Belize [just south of Cancun, Mexico] than in the country of Mexico. Along the highways there is a lot of sugar cane, but go about a mile back and the crops in Belize change to grass. I went from Cancun by bus, and then took a cab when I got to Belize. I stayed a week and I left by cab back into Mexico where I caught the bus again. WARNING: when I left Belize in my cab and got to the Mexican border my cab driver took my papers into the immigration office and left me in the cab. A guy came up to the cab wearing a gas mask and with a pressure sprayer which startled me. He began spraying insecticide all over and under the cab. If I had any warning I would have gotten out with the cab driver. Legal, Fake or Camouflage Passports? There has been information on where to purchase legal second passports for USA citizens. I want to tell you no American citizen can legally hold 2 passports, but these are fake. In other words the ads state you can legally get an authentic looking fake passport under another name and another country. The reason stated for an exception to the law is that if you are hijacked by a terrorist and are discovered to be a US citizen, you are under high risk of torture and death. They claim US law has provided for the second "camouflage" passport to protect US citizens from being targeted by terrorists. If you encounter a terrorist you submit the fake passport so they believe you are not a US citizen and your life may be spared. I recommend International Living for all the mind opening information. It's a big world and who knows where you might end up. I saw a TV item on the Dart [Styrofoam cup] family. One elderly Dart became a citizen of Belize, and when he died no estate tax was paid. Another Dart became an ambassador or diplomat from Belize and lived in Florida. Another became a citizen of Ireland and upon his divorce he allegedly paid his wife a settlement larger than Prince Charles paid Diana. People can legally get things done if you have an awareness of what's available. International Living may help you decide where to travel, live, or invest. |
